Artist’s Statement:  The following are some of the things I try to accomplish in my paintings.  Foremost, I wish each painting to provide fresh insights to both myself and others.  I strive not to be overly consumed by a developed style or convention as I work freely between representational and abstract paintings.  Creating and observing art has always been a passion and all work produced is in some way related to my personal experiences.  The development of a series of related paintings is always open-ended and may overlap other series that may be in progress.

Biography:  The artist grew up in the Tallahassee area earning a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art at Florida State University where he was fortunate to have an outstanding cadre of art instructors that included Karl Zerbe, Fred Holschuh, Florence Kava and Rudolph Jegart.  He subsequently earned a Masters Degree at Syracuse University.
